<p>I was thinking about applying to Northwestern, but I just want to know about Evanston. How is it? The atmosphere? Are there restaurants/bars/pubs? Like is it a good college town? That's all I ask :)</p>
<p>Evanston is an absolutely fabulous college town. Great surroundings and an abundance of dining, shopping and drinking options, with Chicago at your doorstep. I am hard pressed to think of a better college town.</p>
<p>I like how a 16-17 year old is already inquiring about bars and pubs.</p>
<p>If you spend the summer in Evanston, Oyama, you’ll easily spot the ETHS kids at the keg should you choose to visit that not-so-classy establishment.</p>

<p>I’ll be moving in at the end of August. Hopefully that’s late enough to miss that! Haha</p>
<p>The town of Evanston is both very rich and very poor so there is some undesireable areas. If you stay around Northwestern though you shouldn’t have too many problems. Great school, hope you like it!</p>
