how is it possible that they would know though? thanks for the advice .

Another question.

Is BU SMG one of the BEST schools for undergrad business? Their ranking is in the 40s... higher than last year, so I don't think I would dish out 20k a year to go there when I can get an equally opporuntistic education here in NY for free (CUNY Baruch)

Thanks again.

^ If you want to go into Ibanking, then no- BU is not very prestigious in terms of attracting recruiters for FRONT OFFICE jobs. However, I'd say CUNY Baruch is even less of a target. Furthermore, BU has great prospects for people who want to go into accounting(Very popular with the Big 4)/marketing. In terms of Ibanking, though, most kids who come out of these types of schools will , at best, be working in Operations at a BB, not IBD (That slot is generally dominated by Ivy-caliber schools. Unfair, I know, but that's just the way it is)

Ultimately, if you're set on transferring to NYU Stern (and you're confident you can do it), I'd go to CUNY to save $. Good luck, and if you do get into Stern, then congratulations on making one of the most prestigious b-schools in the world.

why do you say you won't be able to find an internship in Boston?

Thank you CNI,

i'm exploring a finance career in either becoming a financial analyst or work i-bank. so thanks for the information. I'm planning to go CUNY and then try to transfer to BU or NYU, and at least I can save a bit of money this way. hopefully XD.

Aztec09,

It would be hard because I have little to no connection there. Also, BU has a huge workload (I know several juniors and sophomores there), and I dont believe I'll have the time to find an internship.. I'm also bad at time management haha.
