I was accepted early decision for CAS, and like everyone else... I'm wondering how much I can get away with grade-wise... but only in one specific class.

I hate AP Calculus with a passion... I got an 82 the first marking period, and an 87 this marking period. I'm wondering how badly I can do on the midterm exam without raising any red flags... considering that I plan on getting solid 94's the next two quarters (so I can exempt the final). I'm taking the hardest course-load in the school and I'm pulling high As in all of my classes.

P.S.- This isn't a... I just wanna slack off situation... more of a... worse case scenario if I don't do well at all situation. It really is a terrible class. As my other grades will tell you, I'm not a big fan of stressing out about whether or not my acceptance will get taken away because I want to completely not do anything after getting into college.

yea i think a C final in the class would be alright if you've got A's in everything else. if they asked about you could always just say that the new material got really difficult and it was hard to keep up or some other bull.

The best advice I can give you is to get the Princeton Review AP calc book. It's probably the best purchase I have ever made in regards to helping me in a class. It boils everything down to get rid of the fancy math aristocracy bullshi.t and then it teaches you how to do the no-frills calc that is probably at the heart of your tests.

You can do it! Just remember not to take calc in college, and if you have to, take the easiest one available.

Calc 2 is a b.itch; it practically eats AP calc alive, spits out the guts, eats them again, and then takes a chainsaw and grinds them up some more like in Gears of War. No joke.

lol thanks everyone! I did get the ap calc book, btw... it's very helpful.

ungst- like I stated before, this isn't a slacking off kind of deal... I am definitely trying, but I'm just wondering if worse case scenario, I get a poor mark on the midterm.
