So...has anyone gotten notification that their material has been received? Or even if its incomplete? Because I havent and it's making me nervous

Calm down. I don't know if they do online notifications. I mailed my app right before Thanksgiving, when I got back after Fall Break there was a nice letter from Wake telling me they had received everything. I think they still mail the letters.

Yeah, I got my letter saying everything was received through the mail.

when i applied as a transfer last year, i didnt receive anything until my admissions letter came. don't worry k******* : )

I got a card in the mail saying my scholarship application is complete, but no word on the regular application. my mom is mad because the check hasnt been cashed yet and its throwing off the check book

When did you send in your application? I got notification within 3 weeks (from the date on the letter, if took a little while longer to get here) that they had received and were processing it.

If you are getting nervous and don't get any confirmation soon send them an email and ask. They very kindly answered my questions about when I would receive a letter.

I did my app online around Dec 28th, sent most of my materials by mail Dec 30th, sent my SATs via collegeboard around the 30th and sent my teacher stuff on the 3rd.

I wouldnt be so concerned if only that stupid check had been cashed...

I doubt anything would be wrong with your RD application if you got notification of your merit aid application. I would just call, the admissions office could check if your application is in the computer.

So I sent the following email:

My name is Katelynn LAST NAME! and I'm a RD applicant for the class of 2010. I was curious as to when applicants would be notified that all necessary materials had been received. The main reason I am concerned is that my material was sent to meet the scholarship deadline (mailed out Dec 30) and my check for my application fee has not yet been cashed.

And got this response:
According to our records, we are still missing the secondary school
report and the transcript. We have what is a normal backlog of mail for
this time of year. If these items have been sent, they are probably in
that backlog. We should know more in a week or two.

...What is the secondary school report? My first semester grades?

The secondary school report is the report that is sent by your guidance counselor describing your school, it is mainly info about your school, grades, SATs, etc.

The transcript includes all of your grades.

Those items are all sent by your GC's office. You should ask them first thing tomorrow morning, or whenever you are at school, again exactly when they sent those items. If they sent them a little later than you sent your items it is likely they are still in the mail or have just been received and not accounted for by the admissions office.

I was just about to post a reply, but it looks like scarletleavy got it covered.

I sent out the transcript / GC Rec / school outline on Jan 3rd (long story - my GC put it all in the envelope, I brought it to the post office because I was terrified about deadlines). Everything else was mailed Dec 30th.

Apparently 5 days makes a world of difference

I think the few days did make a difference. Give it a few more days or so. Like they said it is likely they are quite backlogged and just haven't registered the extra information with your application. I don't think you have to worry.
