Most of the colleges send some type of acknowledgement of receipt of the application, as well as a link and password to check status online. My son hasn't gotten anything like that from Wake Forest. Can any current students or applicants tell me if they have ever received something like that? He applied with the Common Application online, if that makes any difference.

it's been a while since i did this, but i'm reasonably sure that wake in some way contacts you to tell you if they've gotten everything. however, i'm absolutely sure that there's not going to be any way to check the status online (unless i'm completely forgetful or they've changed it since i applied).

I did get a letter in the mail that confirmed my application. However, last year ( and I highly doubt this year) Wake did not have anything online.

I got a postcard today that said that my merit scholarship application had been received and was ready for consideration. I guess that means that they also got my regular app also(I sent them together). I sent them both a couple of days before the deadline (Dec. 1). If you didn't submit the merit scholarship app then I don't know if you will get a notice.

i also applied online on the common app. i received a letter in the mail notifying me that all my materials had been received. there is no online account to check its progress, but at any time you can call up admissions, and they can personally tell you what they have, what theyre missing, and the status of your application

I didn't get anything last year. But I did email them to ask!

But I was international and from what i hear a lot of international mail gets lost.
