Everything You Want to Know About Hill (Pictures Included)

reviving an old but good thread, hill residents read away

I lived in Hill freshman year… the rooms absolutely suck (hardly any room, no carpeting, no AC, mice, dust-bunnies galore, etc), but having a dining hall right downstairs is so convenient, and you’ll often find people hanging out in the lounges/hallways, so it’s a pretty good place for meeting people. All in all, it was a pretty cool place to live as a freshman.

i liked being in hill freshman year, but then i moved to quad to be with friends

hey anzanar i got room 519 we’re neighbors :P

^ ummmm that post was from 4 years ago
anzanar has probably already graduated…

^^lmao haha i didnt even notice the date…walks away in shame

but penngrl09…im in 518 next year, so you still found one neighbor! haha

man now everyone is gonna laugh at the grl in rm 519 =[ but thats cool we’re neighbors! (checks date of post to be sure) lol. do they arrange rooms by gender? like in a given hall theres all guys or all grls?

no it’s often alternating by room; room of guys, room of girls, room of guys… etc.

^must be true since im a guy. do they stick similar room types together? like im in a single…are you in a single too penngrl?

nope im in a double :P

haha I got so excited when I saw this thread bc I figured I must know the OP. then I saw the date

I lived in Hill last year. I was on the first floor. It was extremely social and we always hang out the lounges. The rooms are quite small, but meeting all kinds of people is the benefit.

drnoeyedea,
Just curious, where are you living this year and how hard is it to get a room in the quad or high rises sophmore year if you are in Hill as a freshman? Thanks

2 questions:
Do you know the dimensions of the closets in the doubles in Hill so that I could buy a curtain to cover the opening?
Do you know if there are drying racks in the laundry room or should I buy one for my room?
Thanks.

as i recall, the closets should come with sliding partition dividers

but some people like putting up their own curtains

and you’ll need your own drying rack, not enough room in the laundry rooms to even have one there

hi guys,

i have room 0458- is this like on the first floor?

no, room 458 is on the 4th floor, southeast corner - so your window will be looking out either on walnut street or 33rd street

cool-thanks tenebrousfire !

Thanks for the info
