exactly what day do princeton's regular decisions come out?

Haha, we didn't know for ED until like 3 days prior to the date - it's surely not out yet.

PS: If you already begin know to await your decisions that eagerly, you will be LOST in April when the decisions come close ;)

yeah i second David's last statement! my adivce....FORGET ABOUT THE DECISIONS....trust us...lol. THis is JUS january. It will probably come out Early April. And knowing princeton, they might just do that traditional crap and send all the decisions by post...NO EMAILS..LOL.

i remember once i emailed asking if ED would be avaliable online....they said no to ED but yes to RD...does anyone else know if this is true?

princeton24601, where did you hear that?

I don't remember where I heard that, but I heard it too. No emails ED, but yes for RD. Or at least that you would be able to log in to Princeton online and see or something.

doesn't it say on the application that you can check online?

i found why i thought that...

on the application, under the PIN section, it says "At the end of the process, you will have the option to check your decision online."

Yay kraor! I KNEW I had read that somewhere.

See, aren't the ED people nice? They help us figure out stuff like this even though it doesn't even matter for them anymore. I love the Princeton forum.

haha....i feel for you karen...
1.
first you will go crazy immediately after you submit your application. you realize that you are in a purgatory similar to Dante's hell in which you are in a uncertain and cloudy state and have no idea what is going to happen to you.
2.
then your uneasiness subsides after a couple of weeks and it lingers in the back of your mind, waiting....
3.
and then about a week and half before your decision you GO CRAZY. you think about it 24/7, but you dont dare tell anyone lest it bring bad karma. your obsession does slip sometimes in a conversation with a friend, but most of the time it remains hidden in the pathos of your mind.
4.
the day before the "official" date, you check the mailbox, just in case. the day arrives, and yet no mail. you hate the mailman.
5.
suddenly some of your friends find out. at this point you are going INSANE
6.
the day before you are very emo about your bleak future, and cry about the unfairness of it all. your parents begin to get irritated about your emoness because they think you will get in. "But," you cry "YOU DONT GET IT!!"
7.
the next day comes. you are strangely calm, as if you had weathered a really really long torment session and you simply cant be upset any more. you are out of energy, emoness, and tears.
8.
the news comes. and YET you are still thinking about it a month later.....

well said, guppy8888 lol

hahaha i concur with everything except the mailman part. those were my exact actions for my ea decision with stanford haha...they post decisions online so the mailman thing never really happened.

thank you. that was very nice =D

exxxxxactly correct guppy! However, you forgot to mention the part somewhere between 3 and 4 when you go back and read your essays that you swore you wouldn't read again and manage to find everything wrong with them and decide that they are complete crap. Thus perpetuating and intensifying the terror.

lol, guppy, that was justtttttttt correct!!!!!!!! May I add something between 5 and 6? say...

5.5 (lol)
All your friends know you did apply to Pton, they start asking you. But what? Even you haven't heard the news... And when you tell them "No, I haven't heard anything, seriously", they would give you a suspicious look "Hey, but that XYZ guy has already heard...". And again, you're going insane...

Haha, waiting for decisions is just sooo interesting

Oh yeah and about that PIN number thing, I applied ED, got deferred, found it by an email I requested, (got the official MAIL just last week though lol); I didn't use that PIN for anything except to give more info on the email I sent. But who knows? Maybe Pton's really gonna notify RD applicants by email :D. I'll be also waiting with you guys :D
