interestingly, the small number of st. paul's students (around 500 or 600 total, i think) was something that i didn't like about the school. it's like middle school, the same 120 or so kids in your grade each year. besides, andover has around 1000 students, which i think is still a relatively small school, compared to other high schools in the nation.

as for "exeter is THE math/science school" discussion, it is obvious that exeter is infamous for its excellent math team (mathletes, or "fengsters," however you choose to call them). nonetheless, both schools provide good education for those who plan to do higher level math. zuming feng might be an advantage to the exeter math department though... still, andover does have one of the best science centers in the world, and its science department rivals that of exeter. not to mention the AMAZING music faculty at andover! dr. warsaw is fantastic. also, the AP music theory class he teaches is the best offered anywhere. considering your interest in violin, that is something to think about.

as for me, i was also accepted into exeter/andover, but i narrowed it down to andover or choate, who both offered me amazing opportunities. exeter was not so generous as the other two, but i still hold it in high regards.

hope everyone is faring well while making his/her decisions! i'm visiting choate on apr. 7, so that doesn't leave me much time to make a choice after the trip.
