Exeter VS. ANdover

Hi,
I was accepted at Exeter, Andover, and Groton.
I am currently 80% Exeter and 20% Andover.

What do you think are the differences and which is better and why?

Thankyou for your help

What are your interests? Whichever school supports what you want more, than go to that school.

I'd personally go to Andover. No question about it.

I am very smart so academics are important.

I also do squash, violen, and photography

Which school do you think would support those intrests better?

Both would do a fine job. If you lean toward strong math adn sci, Exeter may be better. If you do not choose andover. Of course this may be too simple, however, adequate for your rather vague desrciption of "I am very smart so academics are important". Most bs are tops in academics. Please be more specific. Good Luck

Thankyou,

I am advanced in math, taking Algebra II / Trig as an 8th grader.

It looks like Exeter is the place for me. Both have PG's, yet groton does not.

How does that affect the schools?

Please refrain from saying "I am very smart" in real life... it's such an arrogant statement, and you won't make any friends lol.

That being said, gluck at your future school. Both are excellent choices. I know that students from either Exeter or Andover are very intelligent and become very successful.

sorry,

I did not mean to be arrogant. It was a brash statement. I appolagize. Thank you for your help

Hey, bluecanyon. I got into E/a too, and I'm going back for the revisits next week.

Speaking of math though.. I too am taking Alg II this year, which really isn't that advanced when you get down to it..but anyway, both schools would definitly support you math-wise all the way through your senior year. You would never be bored or anything.. they have linear alg/ discrete mathematics etc.

Hope that helps.

Thanks ex2,

What days are u visiting

He's very smart, yet he can't spell "apologize."

And that's way too much of an error to be called a typo either. You better go to Exeter because you clearly lean toward math and science.

Thats what spell check is for,

I am not the best speller, what can I say...

he also couldn't spell "violen" :)

Most arrogant people are arrogant to hide something.

I suspect a troll for sure. Or it could be a rich brat who is picking a boarding school for his parents to donate to where he can go make a fool of himself.

go to exeter..... just cause I know this really sweet chick who goes there.

or go to Northhempfield Mount Hernon or somethin, it's initials are NMH.

Be careful when you stereotype Exeter as Math/Science and Andover as not. Andover does have the top physics department in America.

In regard to your interests: our squash team was 7th in the country this year, and we recently had a violinist play at Carnegie Hall for Mozart's 250th b-day. He was a 10th grader.

Wow that is very impressive. I will not make a final decision until the visit day where I can get a true feel for the school without any pressure.

I'm going back to A/e on the monday and tuesday. WBU?

And for everyone out there who is jumping on bluecanyon's spelling abilities, get a grip. It's been scientifically proven that spelling is one of the only areas of the brain that has absolutely no relevance to your IQ or how smart you are.

tahts kool tahnks fro teh ifno

ex2,thankyou very much. These guys were about to kill me!

I am still deciding as well. Keep me informed about your feelings on both schools.

The only reason why I wouldn't attend Andover is because they have so many people. That's once of the reasons why St. Paul's appeals to be more. (slightly)
