Expedited decision by invitation only

I think if you showed them you had good stats by submitting your test scores to them early and showed them you were really interested by your calls and visits, they offered something like “expedited decision by invitation only” which would give you the yea or nay six weeks early, mid feb instead of late march. this might be a new thing just for this year.

the past couple of years, they called something very similar the "blue ribbon application."

I thought the past "Blue Ribbon" program had something to do with the idea that they would be likely to give you financial aid?

i don't know where you got that idea from -- i've never heard it before.

do a search in the brandeis forum for threads about "blue ribbon" -- there have been several over the past few years -- and you can read what was and wasn't known about the blue ribbon applications.

i believe blue ribbon was all about getting students to apply who probably wouldn't ordinary apply--those from underrepresented geographic communities or whose stats may have been above and beyond the norm for Brandeis students.

it seems like this program is aimed at getting those who already showed they were very interested "earlier" decision to prevent them from going elsewhere...
