Explain extracurricular if I do in another essay?

So I made a club at my school that's fairly unique- if I just list it on the activities list, adcoms wouldn't know what we do. Now, I could explain it in the short extracurricular essay, but I'm actually going to be writing about it as a significant achievement, for the longer commonapp essay. What I'm trying to figure out is: should I still describe what the club does in the activities list, or can I use that space instead to talk about how many members I recruited and details like that? Do I need to explain what it is every place I mention it, or is the explanation in my essay good enough?

The explanation in your essay should be good enough. You don’t need to explain twice.

I might still type in something on the EC list such as “Please see my detailed description of this club in my main Common App essay.”

I’d write about a different activity in the short extracurricular essay.
