Explanation on AP Credits?

Hello everyone! I am not entirely sure if this is the correct subsection to put this topic in, but I would great appreciate any responses.

As someone who is about to get his AP test scores back, I am fairly confused about what AP Tests can get you in college except for getting ahead in classes. Do the credits that you can get (based on score and school) only apply to the field that the test was involving? Or will taking 8 AP tests Senior year benefit me because all of the credits will save me money in general? Thank you so much to whomever replies

Every school has their own policy regarding AP credits - some give a lot, others give none. For some schools, you can even enter with sophomore standing if you have enough AP credits. Google something like “X university AP credit” to find out about policies at specific schools.
