Explore USC vs Admit April 27 vs Orientation

What are the main differences between these events? Does one have to go to all of them? They all so similar.
Can somehow give any suggestions.

D went to Explore USC and I'm sure she must go to Orientation day. Does she need to go to Admit Day on April 27th ?

We did not hear anything about Admit Day---do you think this is just for California residents? I went to the USC web site and did not see anything about Admit Day. April 27 is so close to AP exams and the need to study for them.
My son also went to Explore day and is signed up for Orientation. What do you know about "Admit Day"? Did you get something in the mail? I thought there was one day at the end of April which was geared towards kids who got accepted later--but may be mistaken about this.

The only real reason to go on the Spring Reception on the 27th is they will be giving housing tours. If you've already seen the housing, or are pretty sure where you want to go, you should be fine with not going to Spring reception.

Thank you. She did not see the dorms when she went to Explore USC. So it seems like a good idea to go then.

I believe there are several "Receptions". The 27th is the one at the campus, but there are a number of other dates for receptions that take place in particular regions or cities, where prospective students (and parents) can meet each other from that particular area.

27 is admit day.. i was invited from michigan

I think

Explore usc is only an introduction of the school's campus, spirit, band, surrounding, academic and philosophy.

Admit Student day is the same except the additional of housing tours

Orientation actually deals with the admitted students who have accepted the offer, and will deal with more details of academic, student life, student services (and visa issues for intl students ), and the LA city. You definitely should go to the orientation to get the complete feel and understanding of the school.

During orientation, you meet with an advisor and register for classes.
