I'm a senior in high school. I thought I wanted to do environmental engineering FOR SURE. But now that I've learned about industrial and chemical, I'm having second thoughts. Yeah, I know it's definitely too early to decide what I want to do for the rest of my life, so I'm wondering:

Is there a general college engineering class that introduces freshmen to different engineering disciples?

Thanks a lot!

Same boat, im guessing there is prolly an Engineering 101 class for undeclared s like us =]

Depends on the school you go to. My school does not do an "Intro to Engineering" class but rather "Intro to EE" etc.

My advice is to look at the classes you will take and see which major appeals to you most. Take a tour of the different departments at the school(s) you want to go to. Also see if your potential schools has a shadow program. My school has several days during the year where high school seniors get to shadow and sit through classes.
