Expository Writing at Harvard University

Hi Everyone,
I plan to enroll on Expo-20S at the Harvard Summer School in 2008. I've heard that the writing classes weeds out a lot of students who wish to apply to Harvard Extension School's undergarduate degree program in the Liberal Arts, or ALB Degree. I have completed up to four semesters worth of writing and literature courses at my present college. The last two writing classes I learned a lot about writing analytical papers and opinion response topics that are not mentioned but are hinted in the story.

I was checking out the profressors who have taught the class this past summer. Of all the teachers I've read about from class guides, Profressor Anthoney Cashman's class holds my interest. Has anyone ever enrolled in his class in the past. If so, how tough were his classes?

redline I can't fully address your question as I chose not to go to Harvard, but I did go to Harvard Summer School in the fall of 2005. I took Intro to Comp Sci, but also "shopped" EXPO-25. Anthony Cashman was also the instructor of that course, and from the one class I sat in on with him, he seemed like a fantastic teacher. He's lucid, engaging, and genuinely interested in both his subject and his students. I would have taken the course had enrollment not been already filled. Best of luck, I hope this helps.
