ExPrEsS yOuRsElF! unc chapel hill

@newjerseymom: I think that makes the most sense from the point of view of the admission team, but I don’t want to face that reality yet. Ten more hrs is NOT okay :/

@music4life2011: good luck w/ calc…hope you do better on yours than I did on mine yesterday :)

I’m soo sleepy even though I got like 6 hours of it, how are you guys holding up?

I thought they would be out by now :(

Yes. My S is also applying. But he is the one who is not worried and not checking the site everyday. Don’t get me wrong. He loves UNC. He just more mellow than others. Well, folks, the decision is sealed and snail mail is on its way. So waiting for another 12 hours probably won’t kill you, as you have been waiting for a few months already. At the end, it is what it is. Life can be sweet and, yet, it can be bitter. It all comes down to how you deal with the success or setback. Trust me guys, even if you are deferred or rejected, it is not the end of the world. Your best is ahead of you. So, be optimistic and everything will be OK. I am talking about this from the perspective of a Tarheel Alumni and from someone who had went through episode of triumph as well as defeat over the years.
Good luck everyone!

I can’t even imagine how I’d be feeling if I had school today. Good luck w/ that everybody :)

I want to go back to school!! :frowning: Next semester starts next Tuesday for us. Do you know what time the admissions office opens?

^^ we start Monday. And I just googled the admissions office and no times came back- but I’d say 8:00. 9:00 at the very latest.

Upon further investigation, it opens at 8 am at unc Charlotte so I assume it does so at unc-ch too. They sure don’t like to be very specific as to what time they do things ;)

8 and still no decisions. didnt stay up last night, but had so many dreams about it I might as well have

Haha at least you got some sleep. I guess maybe we should just check like every hour instead of the constant refresh plan. This wait is painful.

They know a lot of kids do have school today and probably won’t put them in the position of getting good/bad news while at school. My guess is that they will target a time today when they think most kids will be home from school. They don’t want kids falling apart at school away from home…think about that possibility! I know it’s tough for you all - we just did this in December. They released ED decisions for my kid on a Thursday at 5, then closed the admissions office from Friday through Sunday. My guess is that this is going to be a similar situation.

What sucks is the fact that in this situation- we have to wait til like 5 tonight. I agree that they don’t want kids in hysterics and angry phone calls though. I don’t really know why I keep waiting lol

unc.edu wont load for me…

I feel like it’s going to be earlier than that. In my opinion, new year new time. We clearly can’t count on precedent in this situation.

This is going to be a long day.

i have a 2 hour delay :D

New post from Admissions telling us not to expect decisions until this afternoon.
