We have our 2016 tax returns and info but 2017 is not out untili 10/15. Do I have to wait until that date to file financial aid docs?
File your taxes on October 15…and then do your FAFSA.
You are required to use 2017 tax return information so…get that return done.
Make sure to e-file, and pay any tax due at the time of filing the 2017 return, to prevent delays on the tax return being processed, and being able to use IRS data retrieval tool in the FAFSA.
And the extension goes until October 15th, but you don’t have to wait until then to file the return.
