Extra Curricular + Academic Advice for International [Canadian] Student?

Hi everyone,

First off I'm not sure if I'm an international student because I've done half my education in California and half in British Columbia. I guess I am anyways.

I used to do a lot of extra curriculars in California [Cupertino:]] and now I'm rushing because it is my junior year and I've realized that not only have I been lagging but also there aren't many competitions or EC's that I know of that is not only Canadian but, even better, internationally recognized.

Also, I feel like I'm just being an average A student. My family have been lucky enough to have worked or attended various Ivy Leagues and Stanford, USC and International Schools but I want to equal that in my own terms and hold on to their achievements.

I've been taking leadership and I have lots of ideas for this year that I will be doing but I'd love to hear from others.

Are there any academic and EC's that makes a student stand out during college admissions?

Thanks and Good Luck To All Of You!

First of all, yes, I'm pretty sure you'll be considered international.
I used to live near Cupertino as well (Pleasanton) and now I'm in Canada too hahaha. Being International (+Asian) is tough :(

Truthfully, just do whatever you like. You can definitely find something that stands out in what you already do. Leadership is always good. I don't know what you like to do/want to do, but don't just do it for university.

I'm sure all those legacies will help you out too... D:

OMG!

Thanks for the encouragement.
