Extra-curricular activities and the Common App

I was filling out the Activities part of the Common App and didn't know whether to list all the activities that I take part in; I have played piano for 10 years and have reached an advanced level (playing Debussy, Beethoven etc.) but I haven't taken piano exams or partaken in any competitions. Should I still list it in the activities. I am in a similar situation with my tennis lessons which I take outside of school. Thank you in advance.

Of course you list both. They are ECs in which you have invested considerable time and energy. You don’t have to have awards or exams to prove anything. Most schools just want to know that you have outside interests and will be an asset to the school community. High demonstrated achievement is only necessary at the most selective colleges. Many state schools don’t care about your ECs at all.
