I’m just going to say that you shouldn’t focus on getting more extracurriculars but rather devoting more time and effort into in the ones you already have.
Unless you seriously want to do something for purposes other than college admissions. In that case, go ahead.
I’m currently a junior.
Violin: orchestra (varsity 9th) (9, 10), played violin in church (volunteering) (9, 10)

Climbing Team (9, 10, 11)
Debate (9)
Math Team (10, 11 hopefully)
Washington Aerospace Scholars (11)
Helped run a summer camp in El Salvador, planning to stay involved with the community and start a school club (10, 11)
Working on a computer game with my friends to enter in the SkillsUSA competition, I might also enter in the CAD category of the competition (11)
I think the key to having interesting extracurricular is to do things that interest you and take opportunities when they come. My main interest is robotics and STEM in general, so I’m doing a lot of things that branch off of that.
I’m currently in 8th grade. I don’t have a lot of ECs…
Science Olympiad (THE BEST THING TO EVER EXIST, this is my most serious EC, I have been top 3 in the nation, top 3 in the state, and I’ve only gotten 1st place at regionals)
Brown Belt in Karate (Becoming Black Belt in two years)
I do Art seriously
Tennis
Yearbook
Newspaper
I sorta know how to play cello, not really. I don’t play it for anything, this isn’t really an EC at all.
Science Olympiad, Science Bowl, GSA, Chess Club, assistant coaching Science Olympiad, Competition Math Club, Conputational Linguistics Olympiad, Space Club, Bighorn Society, my job, hopefully Mu Alpha Theta (and local math competitions before that) and I’m still trying to apply to be an OSIRIS-REx ambassador. Plus, I’m going to try for NACLO, USABO, USAJMO (not like I’m gonna make it lol), and USAAAO. I’m also going to try to be a flag bearer and booth person for Cultural Heritage Club. I also go climb once or twice a week outside of work and Bighorn. And I also do climbing competitions.
