Extra Curriculars?

How important are the EC's to Georgetown? Or is acceptance going to be based mainly off of test scores and GPA? I have a good GPA (3.86 unweighted), 1300 SAT (680 CR 620 Math), but I have gotten really involved in a lot if EC's and have succeeded with them, not just did something to bolster the resume.

From what I understand, Georgetwon has a holistic review. So basically they are looking for someone well rounded. A 1300 is not an awful score, but Georgetown will be looking for something competitive in you. Your GPA is slightly below Georgetown’s average. But, I wouldn’t worry, this is definitely a reach school for you. Based on my interview with an alumni, I can gurantee Georgetown does put a big emphasis on extracurriculars, but probably just as much as your test scores and GPA. I think in some cases, you GPA mean more to the reader than a test score. I don’t think you should bank on getting in to Georgetown but you have to remember every year, students like you are accepted as well. Do you have any hooks?

A reccomendation from a VERY notable alumni of the school.
