Please give me constructive feedback. I know I’m doing too much but I need to know what to cut down on.

yea...wuts up with all the "if i want"... i mean do you want to be?, it seems like your not interested enough to take that extra step to become Prez/VP....

Haha, yes i understand what your saying. In the clubs I listed "Prez if I want to be" I was the only freshman participating in that activity, and Im pretty confident that I could become president if I wanted (its all but guaranteed for 2 of them).

I say "if i want" because I'm not sure I want to become president of all those clubs, I would most certainly like to but I dont know if i have the time.

whatever you do, do something interesting in your clubs. whether that is fundraising, starting events, w/e...make a difference. being president of 6 meaningless clubs is nothing special at HYPS, but doing something incredible as pres. of 1 or 2 of them definitely is.

If you can accomplish tons in all 6 tho, go for all of them. :)

I know someone who got into Stanford with just Speech&Debate and nothing else. President senior year and nationals only after he already got in.

maybe he was hiding the cure for cancer he discovered in the basement and never told you about it.

by the way, even though you may think officer positions are pretty much guaranteed, you may want to reconsider your assurance. in the amnesty club at my school, there were only three of us dedicated freshmen last year. this year, another sophomore came in and was totally passionate about spreading human rights and standing up for what she believed in. she had a loud voice and earned people's respect. she'll be vice president next year. she won over one of the three freshmen from last year. then again, the other vice president was one of the freshmen last year. i'm the last of the three. i'm publicity officer :D. i knew i wouldn't win against those two.

also, in MUN, i've been one of the two most dedicated members in my grade. the treasurer position went to a freshman (though he is quite a brilliant kid. he was recently elected treasurer of our school's student council!). also, one of the secretaries this past year was chosen after spending only his sophomore year with the club.

finally, even seniority isn't a guarantee anymore. i was elected president of the debate club as a sophomore. then again, we had no seniors and all but one of the juniors were new to the club. but still! these things do happen.

oh yeah. last thing. when you say "prez if i want", it sounds really cocky. you may have wanted to explain what you meant by that in your original post.
