<p>I was deferred from Yale Early Action, and I am considering having one of my current teachers write an extra letter of recommendation. If I were to do this, when would I need to submit the recc letter by?</p>

<p>@ibfan99, that’s generally not a good idea. What does this teacher know about you that the other teachers didn’t, and why did this become more compelling since you were deferred? Unless you have a very good reason for doing this, I think it might work against you. </p>
