Extra SAT date for UC applicants!!???

I was filling out my UC app online and I came to the SAT section. It asks for your scores as usual but then it has a section titled: "date to be taken."

Does this mean that you can take an SAT test in december and send the scores to your UC choices (you know how they have that option when you sign up for the tests)???

Yes it does.

this is freakin pure sweetness

I was thrilled as well.

That is correct and make sure you send them by designating the colleges on Collegeboard so you don't have to pay later

so how exactly does this work? Do you put in your old SAT score in the verbal/math section, then choose to send in the December score....or....do you just leave the SAT verbal/math section blank and choose to send the Decemeber score?

When you request the College Board (CB) to send an SAT score, all will be sent and thus you will not be able to choose to send only your December score. In the App just include whatever is the current info. Do not immediately request CB to send any scores, designate the UCs in your app for the December test and when CB sends that score, it will automatically also send all prior scores. The UCs rely on the official scores they receive to make decisions and not the score you write on your App.

"...Do not immediately request CB to send any scores, designate the UCs in your app for the December test and when CB sends that score, it will automatically also send all prior scores..."

hey when you say that do you mean to add the UCs in the "score receipients" on your admission ticket for the dec. SAT instead of clicking "send available scores"?

just checking that i'm doing it right, thx :)

I'm pretty sure that was what drusba meant; you are allowed up to four score recipients

aite. i signed up for them. sending scores to berkeley, los angeles, san diego and santa barbara.
