Has anyone had experience requesting extra time on exams, after submitting documentation for processing or other disabilities. If so, what was your experience? How difficult was it to get these accomodations?

Not difficult at all. The school should fill out the form, and send a copy of your school plan (IEP or 504), and a doctor's note helps too. Just allow enough time. It takes 6 weeks, as I remember, and then, if things aren't quite right, you can add, subtract or make changes to the accommodations as well.

Do you have a SPED liaison to work with at your school?

Our SPED liaison made errors, because my daughter has health problems, not learning disabilities, and the SPED dept. doesn't handle health, but the liaison was still responsible for her application to College Board for accommodations. The principal ended up working with me over the summer to make some changes, and everything worked out fine.

So, make sure you review whatever the school sends and make changes in thee first place if needed!

But it is really very easy to do.

Thanks---much appreciated.
