Extracurricular not relating to desired major

Hey! So I applied SCEA to Yale and dw this isn’t a chance thread as I realize my chances will be low no matter what. Anyhow, I was wondering if doing clubs that don’t relate to a desired field of study will hurt my chances. I put biology as my primary academic as I wish to ultimately become a doctor but I literally do zero activities relating to both biology and medicine… Like my most important activity is robotics, which is obv more engineering, because I didn’t realize how much I loved biology until sophomore year when I took my first biology class, but by that point I also fell in love with robotics and ofc I continued it. Anyhow, I was wondering if this will hurt my chances for admissions. I tried to sorta cover it up by saying my genuine perspective on robotics and how I saw the robot as the patient and me as a surgeon and whenever I rebuild the robot it’s like doing surgery and so I became a robot doctor through HS… but I’m afraid this came off as super superficial

@mooncakelover123, relax, there’s nothing wrong with an EC that isn’t completely in line with your “desired field of study.” Just be yourself.

Well considering my daughter was a cheerleader for 16 years and who wants to be a surgeon… I think you are fine.
