If I have started an activity this year and plan to do 100 hours in the next few months do I report the number of hours I have completed up to the point of submitting the application or can I put 100 hours under approximate time spent even though I will not complete 100 hours by the time I submit the application?

Also, for the test scores, you only report your best scores but if the school does not use Score Choice, will the school eventually see all your test scores once you send in your score reports?

Thank you in advance.

Hmm, maybe I need to rephrase this. If I join a club which has weekly meetings, but by the time I submit my application I have only attended 5 meetings, do I still go ahead and put an estimate of how many I will attend throughout the senior year (25 or so) or do I put 5, the number I have attended up to that point?

I just want to make sure because I do not want to put down anything that I have not actually done.

I don’t think schools even pay attention to the hours you list. It’s way too easy to lie, and there’s no way for them to verify.

I would like to be as honest as possible though =P

I will be starting new activities this year so I suppose I’ll just put down the number of hours I expect to do by the time I graduate. Hopefully it isn’t too big of an issue, as you said.

Yes, that’s perfect.

Remember that if you are EDing/EAing somewhere (and thus submit your application), you can’t go back and change any of your ECs, so you might want to take that into account.

Great, because I do plan to apply Early Decision, and I intend on doing the number of hours I put down on my application.

Thanks for the help =)

do we put down the number of hours that we expect to do by the time we graduate or by the time the app is about to submit or by the time that the data is saved??
