F1 indeed! Please

I recently ran into a Operations Management textbook, I would say it is the most interesting textbook that I ever read during two years in community college. After checking out the information about this topic on the net and in this forum, I found different opinions and right now I am very confused:

In some schools, the Operations Management/Supply Chain Management program have a very similar curriculum with the Information System program. Why does a computer-related degree and management degree have so much in common?
Exp: Department of Information Systems & Operations Management | Warrington

In other schools, the OM/SCM is classified as a concentration of Industrial Engineering program? Is the OM/SCM an engineering-oriented major? and does this OM/SCM have anything similar to the OM/SCM in question #1?

Do I need the Industrial Engineering degree for OM/SCM jobs? Can I have a BA in Accounting and MBA in OM/SCM get a job in that field. By the way, is the experience I might have in corporation or public accounting firm any helpful for getting the jobs in OM/SCM field?

Could you please help me to answer my questions and share with me a little about the jobs and working environment in OM/SCM field? I am open to all of your opinions. Thank you very much, everybody.
