FA Posting to Account?

Just received my "S"'s Bill for Fall 2010 - Incoming Freshman. When are the FA/Scholarships applied to his account? So far, they are not applied. He has already accepted them on-line and all documnets received. Direct PLUS Loan pending - FA doesn't have the forms ready yet!

Just want to make sure the FA office applies the FA to his account, otherwise I need to "rob a bank"!

Thanks for others who have been there/done that!

CJ

I would like to know the answer to that question too! My son accepted his FA award, but it’s not indicated on the bill. Would appreciate any input.

I just called the number on the bill with a problem, and they were good at looking everything up and fixing it. You might want to just give a call.

I’ll probably just wait til CI and ask then.

They get credited to the account once you register for classes. For most scholarships, etc. you have to be enrolled for at least 15 credit hours per semester to have them credited. If you click the PDF link on the upper right of the statement, you’ll get a detailed statement of how much you will owe once everything is credited to the account.

in what format have you received your “bill”?

i haven’t received anything yet.

thanks…

When we received the email about our Fall 2010 bill online, it displayed a bill for Summer 2010 ??? without any of the FA deducted.

On that same page, it had a link for the Fall 2010 bill, which did have the FA deducted and was correct. That bill said the due date was August 2010.

We called about the online Summer 2010 bill since I am not attending summer courses at GW and FA said to disregard it. Still not sure why this bill came up online though …

Going to CI next week so will check with FA department. Weird …

They only send the bill to the student. So have your student log into their gmail account and you’ll be able to click on a link and once you log in it will give you a web page and in the upper right side of that page there is a link to the PDF bill. And my bill shows a due date of August 30th, the first day of classes.

Thanks Leepsyle. Printed out the PDF attachment and it’s correct. I assume when the Direct PLUS loan is approved that will post also.

thanks from me too - the ebill is correct.

yippee!
