Hi, everybody. I'm going to be a sophomore at Smith in the fall (but I'm a transfer student). I am planning on being a French major, and I am interested in the class "A Reader's Romance with Paris" with Professor Bullot, but I've read some bad things about her. Can anyone tell me if she is really as horrid as students say? Is this a worthwhile class to take? Thanks.

I really liked my class with Fabienne, but she can be frustrating. She's Parisian, which is both good and bad. It's nice to be taught by a native French speaker, but she doesn't always have patience for American confusion with the language. I sometimes found it difficult to get my grammar questions through the language barrier. However, she has a good sense of humor, a wacky closet of clothes, and her lessons are generally interesting.
