<p>Apparently, I filed my FAFSA a month ago under 08-09. Was I supposed to file it under 09-10? Can I transfer the information to 09-10 if I'm supposed to be filing the latter?</p>

<p>You should have filed the 2009-2010 FAFSA. You can start entering your personal information on the 2009-2010 FAFSA and it should come back and say something along the lines of "you have filed a FAFSA previously, do you want to automatically fill in personal data". Select yes - you will need your PIN. Personal info will be entered but I think you will have to reenter the financial data. The asset information will have to be accurate as of the new day you are filing as this is a new FAFSA.</p>
<p>2008-2009 is still available because there are students still applying for aid for the spring and summer semesters of the 2008-2009 school year. It is available until the end of June. When you file FAFSA you are filing for a particular school year - 2008-2009 = 2008-2009 school year (generally starting fall 2008), 2009-2010 = 2009-2010 school year (generally starting fall 2009).</p>

<p>As far as GMS goes, they'll ask for your SAR if you get selected as a finalist. It should say that you are eligible for the pell grant.</p>
