Fafsa 2016 help!

Hi my parents are unmarried never married and file the tax forms separated
We want to put that i live with my mom so we can get the most financial aid we can get the only thing that is helding us back is the option that says “unmarried but living together” which is actually the case but i ask what happens if we put my mom is single or separated instead of unmarried but living with my dad? If they file tax forms separated like can they found out when i put my social security number that my dad claimed me once and get suspicious or if i put my mom as single or separated nothing will happen? Thanks in advanced!’

You must include the income if both of your parents even if they are unmarried and living together.

Fraud, will be the cause of you being kicked out of school, losing your aid and having to repay any and all aid that you fraudulently received.

And can i not file fafsa this year and then next year do file it as i wil be 18 and living with my mom they cant know if we are living together or not because im no longer a minor and they cannot trace again the time my dad put me with him as living in the same adress on the social security card

Quit asking advice about your chances of getting caught committing financial aid fraud.

No, boo. It does not matter. Until you are 24 years old, you are dependent on your parents income and assets. To not include both of them is still fraud. Please don’t use the forum to ask people how to break the law.

Okay guys thanks for your responses and advice!

I hope that isn’t your real name.
