I am an American citizen living in India.
Will my Expected Family Contribution differ by any chance, as compared to that of US residents?
Am I eligible to fill out FAFSA?

As a citizen, you can fill out the FAFSA.If your parents are not citizens and do not have SSNs, you’ll have to submit a paper copy after your parent signs it…
You’ll have to convert your earnings and assets to US funds.
My parents are not citizens. Will it affect my chances of receiving financial aid?
Thanks
You are a citizen. The citizenship of your parents doesn’t matter. You are eligible for the same aid as any other American citizen applying to colleges.
Yes…you complete the same financial aid application materials that any other American citizen completes…including the FAFSA…but do check to see what your colleges all require!
If completing an online FAFSA, enter parents’ SSNs as 000-00-0000. Print a signature page at the end of FAFSA, and submit the FAFSA online …and the signature page via mail.
