I was filling the FAFSA 2016 out and it requests parent information if you’re dependent. I am a U.S. citizen, but my dad is undocumented. To shorten his story, the government has all of my dads information and know he’s not supoosed to be here. He is the only one who works and files taxes. I am afraid if I put him down as the tax reciever and put all his information down (number, address, SSN, birthday, etc.), my dad will be in jeopardy of being caught. Will they use the information I provide to track him down? Is my dad safe? What should I do?
