I input a new FAFSA for my daughter who was recently accepted ED. When I went to do my son’s (who will be a junior in college) I transferred data from one FAFSA to another and realized I made a few errors on her form that I was able to fix on my son’s These errors added a zero to several assets/ tax info resulting in an EFC that was almost 3 times what my son’s came out to. I realize I can change it (but not until it gets processed) and I also emailed my daughters college. Will this affect FA (she already received her FA package)?
Presumably for ED, you filed an early priority filing of the Profile or a school financial and your the info on that form was accurate.
If so, wait until your FAFSA processes p, which should take a couple of days…and then make the changes to correct the errors.
You probably want to call the ED college on Monday. Is this a school that meets full need? Is it need blind or need aware for admissions?
@thumper1 it is a full need school and I believe need blind. I will call Mon to follow up on my email
