FAFSA and Social Security Benefits

This is my first post. Please help. I'll have 2 sons in college next year. My husband is 63 and retired but works a little, self-employed. He rec'vs a modest pension and a Social Security retirement benefit. Our youngest son has also re'cd SS benefits this year since his dad retired. How/ where do we report ss income and pension income? Many thanks!

You don’t report untaxable SS and federal SS pension income on FAFSA. If any of it is taxable (because income is over certain limits) then that will already be included in your AGI from the tax returns.

Thank you swimcatsmom…I see you answer a lot of questions…it is good of you to help so many people. I just want to do it right, esp. with 2 kids in college! Thanks!
