FAFSA Correction Aftermath...

<p>so when I first submitted my FAFSA January 31st, I had to use estimated values for my parents' financial information. Recently, around the last week of February, I made corrections based on my parents' income tax return form, and it brought my EFC down from 13500 to 12. </p>

<ol>
<li>Does this mean I missed the priority deadline for most colleges?</li>
<li>My "Award Detail" on the Webgrants site still shows my old FAFSA data. DO I have to send in an additional form, or does it automatically update financial information based on FAFSA Corrections on the Web?</li>

<p>My understanding is that the time you first submitted a FAFSA, signed by both parents, counts as the date for deadlines. </p>

<p>Institutions are notified when corrected FAFSAs are submitted, but that does not mean that they can update their info right away. They are little busy this time of year…</p>
