FAFSA/CSS/IDOC if you haven't done your 2008 forms yet

<p>This question is more directed towards CollegeBoard's IDOC system than the fafsa or css, but it applies for all three.
What are you expected to do if your parents have yet to fill out their 2008 tax forms? My parents still have not done their 2007 forms, so for my FAFSA and CSS, I basically used those along with a bit of estimation. Now with the IDOC being required by a couple of my schools, they are requesting my parents' 2008 tax forms along with 2008 W2s and 1099 forms, and it's not possible for me to get this to CollegeBoard in a timely fashion (Just found out that my due date is today, Mar. 1). I realize I can be a couple days late or so with it, but I don't even know if it can be done since I'm guessing you can't submit 2008 tax forms without submitting 2007's.
Worried...</p>

<p>Your parents (and you) need to do your 2008 taxes NOW...AS SOON AS POSSIBLE. Schools that use IDOC require these documents to process and finalize your financial aid. If you need financial aid, the 2008 tax forms need to be submitted to IDOC...not 2007. And you need to meet the deadline which is probably either today or very soon.</p>

<p>Again...folks...the year your child is a freshman is NOT the time to file your taxes in April. It is the year to get your taxes done in February so you can meet financial aid deadlines AND have the forms to send to schools that request it.</p>
