<p>You’ve got lots of time. Just to be safe, I’d recommend having it done by mid-February.</p>
<p>FYI, I submitted the FAFSA on Feb 26, 2009 and it was not processed and sent my son’s school until March 3, 2009, thereby missing the March 1st deadline (I was able to subsequently get the merit scholarship $$ back/son was a current student). So DO NOT wait until the final day to submit.</p>
<p>What do you do for schools that have a due date of 2/1? I don’t even know if I will have all my tax info yet. Do you estimate it?</p>
<p>File on the estimate. Go back and make any needed corrections later after you have your taxes finalized.</p>
