Has anyone else sent their FAFSA to USC and USC not received it? It has been 3 1/2 weeks. USC has not answered emails regarding the missing FAFSA.

Same thing here, other schools have recorded it as received but not USC.

I called USC about this earlier this week and was told they are still getting all that loaded into the system and should have it done next week.

Thanks for the info. They have not answered emails with the same question.

The FAFSA deadline is February 10th this year, so from USC’s viewpoint no materials are missing at this point. If your FAFSA was submitted on time and USC was listed as a recipient, the submission date will be reflected when it is received by USC - there won’t be a problem.

Double check that your FAFSA says, “Processed” and that USC is listed as a recipient. If so, you are good.

We received an email today from IDOC.collegeboard.org with a subject of “IDOC Notification - Your Next Step for Financial Aid” with the following paragraph…

The financial aid office at one or more of your college(s) or scholarship program(s) collects additional documents, such as federal tax returns, from students and their families through the College Board’s Institutional Documentation Service (IDOC).

I thought these forms went direct to the school and not the College Board?

USC also requires the CSS Profile. Is that what you are referring to? It is through College Board.

You are correct, for USC, the forms go directly to USC, not to IDOC. It may be that the email you received was triggered by a request from another of your schools (or that College Board is trying to generate more fees by trying to trick you… indeed, USC collects additional documents, but they don’t use IDOC).

@alamemom - Thanks so much. You are a wealth of information. Thanks for ALL your help, @alamemom.

@rcmother- thank you, too! Yes, we did the CSS Profile, this was another email from IDOC.collegeboard.org. I think we wil wait until USC actually asks for the docs themselves. Thank, again.
