Fafsa question (processing system change?)

I received an email today telling me that “we have processed a change to your information based upon updates received from another government agency or as a result of a processing system change”. I went to view my SAR and I don’t see any changes to my original application but at the top it tells me how much of my pell grant I’ve received, a warning that pell grants have a limit and what my current EFC is. Then it says “what you must do now (use the checklist below to make sure all of your issues are resolved)”. Problem is, there is no check list and there is nothing to resolve, everything is there. Everything is exactly the same as when I did the application back in December.

I have already been awarded financial aid for the 17/18 school year so does this mean my FA award is going to change? Does this happen when you transfer from one school to another?

Any help would be appreciated, thanks.

Are you at the max for you Pell grant? If not, your aid shouldn’t change.

We got one of these ‘changes’ and it was just to add the total amount of loans to date.

I am a few years away from the max limit so that’s why I found it curious. They also added total amount of loans taken out at the bottom but I thought that was always part of the SAR so I didn’t think anything about it. Is that new?

The amount would be new every year, so that’s why D’s college ‘processed a change’ to the FAFSA.

Thanks for clearing that up.
