I applied for the fafsa during the first week of January of 2012. It says my EFC is 000000. Did I miss anything? It says that my fafsa was processed successfully. Any help?

Do you think your EFC should have been higher or is your family income and assets (if you were asked about them) low? A number of students from low-income families have 0 EFC’s. That means that you’re entitled to a full Pell grant, Stafford loans, and likely some other state/federal aid like work study, SEOG, Perkins loans, etc.

If your family income is above $30K or so, it’s possible that you missed something but there’s not enough info given in your post for us to know this.

Oh okay well my family only made $28,000 last yeat because of him only having a job. So its normal for some to have 0000

Yes…normal for low income kids.

Okay thank you phew…I was worried I did something wrong. It was processed successfully so I guess everything was right.
