my reported EFC is 0?

<p>this is good right? because i'm getting really confused about how EFC actually works -- the lower the better? does this mean i have a greater chance at getting more money? my FAFSA SAR also says i'm eligible for a federal pell up to $5,550 but..is that it? </p>

<p>HOW DOES THIS WORK? i'm really freaked out that I may not get any FA because i don't exactly qualify for merit scholarships..</p>

<p>A lot will depend on which schools you get accepted to. </p>

<p>On one hand, yes, you’ll get some Federal aid and Cal aid. But, on the other hand, it’s sometimes not enough to pay for everything.</p>
