Fail at APUSH MC/Quizzes

I fail at APUSH MC/Quizzes... absolutely horrible. tips on beating the system?

Read the textbook. Use review books or the barrons 500 flashcards. Use process of elimination.

Read the textbook, its not that hard.

Forget the MC, it’s not that important anyways. Just don’t fail it and write awesome FRQ’s/DBQ’s and you’ll get a 4/5.

read and do cornell notes. My teacher gives us optional reading guides and they are awesome… I suppose you can just do every section in a chapter of the American Pageant if you use it. Doing that, I score As on every quiz. Just reading it, I got Cs. AMSCO book is pretty good too

Or I can PM you some of the reading guides if ya want

Quick glances to your left or right may help during exams

[AP U.S. History Crash Course (REA: The Test Prep AP Teachers Recommend)](http://www.englishsa.org/cheap/0738608130/AP-U-S-History-Crash-Course-REA-The-Test-Prep-AP-Teachers-Recommend)

I was getting scores in the 2-3 range on MC practice tests before reading this. Got a 4 on the real thing. Go through and highlight any terms you see that you could use on your open ended essays. Helped me so much! One of the quotes by Booker T. Washington was in this book and on the test! Good luck :D

need a 5 and i mean in class quizzes…

You need a 5? As in you know exactly what University or College you are attending and you know that they do not accept a score of 4 on the AP US History test?

yeah i need a 5.bump

What Kalthar said.

Or just read the friggin textbook.

Whatever works.

i thought they would teach you better at hogwarts to cheat…

Get a review book, do the quizzes in there before each chapter test. Get two different ones so you have one to use while reviewing for the AP exam.

i have amsco, what else do you recommend? and other tips?

I usually do pretty well on our AP US tests. First of all, I try to engage myself in the material by thinking about it as a story, or wondering what it would be to live during that time, etc. Sorry if that wasn’t helpful at all…but I do think being interested in the material always helps!

Also, I read the review book (AMSCO) and our textbook side by side…for clarification incase one of them is confusing/not in depth enough for me, and I always take notes on all of the information I need to know. I find that if I write things out, I tend to remember them better.
