I have GPA of 3.8, but failed a macroecon class, however passed second time, but it still says failed first time on transcript.
I am a student at the top French Political Science School.

Other than that, CV is perfect.

What’s done, is done. Put this issue out of your mind, and concentrate on building the rest of your grad school application.

Talk with your own professors about the graduates of your program who have successfully been admitted with funding in the US. They are the people who are in the best position to counsel you. Grad school funding is not need-based financial aid. It is merit-based.

Employers only care that the people they’re hiring AT THE CURRENT TIME have the skills necessary for the job. You failed in the past, but now you passed right? So you’re fine.
