Failed Gym, Help!

I go to one of those "everyone gets a B" schools. I hate it.

I know of one school where you can't get any higher than a B if you're not an athlete.

how biased....

Haha, everyone at my school gets a 93 no matter what.

At my school it's the opposite... basically the gym teacher hates athletes because apparently we "think (we) don't have to try" (um... right. no one else does either). She doesn't coach any sports or anything, that's probably part of it.

Ugh, I always get the toughest gym teacher, who definitely plays favorites. I got a B+ two years in a row from her, always with an A first quarter so I had no idea anything was wrong. I have no idea what happened the year before other than the fact that she thought didn't like me, but last year she didn't give me credit for a gym class or two that I made up at the end (yes, we have to make up every missed class or we lose lots of points) since it would have been more work to change. Jerk.

When I was in elementary school, I took remedial gym. It was for the klutzes. The official name was "Gym X." Tracking started early back then.

I just found out that this quarter 13 people in my gym class failed 9 got D's 12 C's 6 B's and 4 A's.

that's because your gym teacher is a washed-up fool who is angry that he/she couldn't get a better job and now they want to take it out on the students.

my school is one of those that dont care: YOU GO and change u can participate if u want! but u dont have to and ur bound to get a 90 or above worst comes worse u will get a 85 my friend is failing gym and im LIEK U GO TO GYM!!! HOW CAN U FAIL! and she even participates! I know kids who almost didnt graduatte last year at my old school! at my old school we used to have gym classes w/ a 100+ kids and we had 2 gyms!(mega sized ones 2) now at my new private school i have a gym 1/10 of the size of the smaller gym(even smaller then that probably) and 15-20 kids in my class(and the 15-20 is my whole grade at this school compared to the 300+ kids at my old school grade)

my gym class involved me reading and playing basketball when i felt like it.

/5 kids in my class due to weird scheduling.

P.E programs generally suck across the board because No Child Left Behind made it clear that the government doesn't care about health and fitness.

in turn, P.E. teachers get resentful that they're getting the feeding trough, so the effect is somewhat similar to logisticwizard's comment.

High schools have been cutting back on a lot of things. They used to teach drivers education. If people are concerned about Art classes being scaled back, why not get rid of gym? :)
