<p>You should probably go talk to your adviser. I don’t think this is a very common situation, and I’m not sure if it’s allowed. But your adviser will know, or they might have other ideas to help you out as well.</p>
<p>Well it is allowed, there are people who take semesters off for whatever reason. Go speak with your advisor, have you even looked into this before posting?</p>
