you know, that would be so stressful. but i really think you will be fine. it seems to me after reading tons of posts on here, and having read and re read the admissions polices to all the UC’s i am applying to. i gather that they (UC admission processors) basically take the classes you have already completed with letter grades–and measure your abilities through those results—and do not seem to look at what you might or might not accomplish in the future. that is just my impression. that said, i think failing a class, is probably going to be okay. not perfect, but okay. i have noticed that we need to finish our MATH and ENGLISH classes, and have those grades already, before we really get to compete for the top UC schools. since this is a pre-req, you can retake that course over the summer. why not get in touch with the department coordinators at the schools and ask them for some advice about what to do. the coordinators for the majors are not involved with the admissions process and really have been supportive to me on so many levels. good luck and keep us posted. i am rooting for you.

Thanks! I feel better now, I will go to check the final exam paper next week and make sure that there is no error, then I will call the UC’s I applied to one by one.

I know this was posted over 4 years ago but what ended up happening to you? I’m in the same situation right now with a pre req calc 2 class that I am failing. I got into ucr and was wondering if I’d get my admittance rescended? Thanks
