Failing a Class - Please Help

So I am going to fail an online, elective class for the second marking period. This grade goes on mid-years. The only out I see now is to withdraw from the class before this whole ordeal ends and I get rejected by all the colleges I have applied to.

I was wondering how a withdrawal will look on my transcript? Other than this class, I am taking 3 APs and 2 Honors and receiving top grades in them. My online class is not a core class and I am simply taking it as an elective (terrible choice).

Also, will the College that I was accepted to early, Michigan, care if I drop an elective that is absolutely unrelated to my intended major?

Just drop it.

Well if the only option is to drop or fail, it seems the logical solution is to drop it. Though neither situation is ideal and looks all that great to adcoms, it looks worse to outright fail.

This stinks. Do you think that I will see my offer from Michigan rescinded?

I doubt it if you drop. The question is how did it get to that point?
