I'm pretty much done with my current CC at 85 credits
Business accounting transfer currently with a 3.95
Didn't graduate HS so I'm taking the quick pace Spanish course offed in the summer.
I have a 2.5 in the Spanish 122 class which happens to be the class avg. (almost certain it will go even lower.)
(will drop my gpa to 3.8 or so)

My question is if I want to apply to foster this winter how badly will this hurt my chances.
This seems more like a downward trend. (but this class is just a spanish class.. will the acceptance committee notice that?)

I'm thinking about dropping this class taking a W and retaking it with another professor then apply to summer foster.

About 80% of people are accepted into Foster based solely on stats (index scores calculated using your avg. GPA, pre-app GPA and WSA), and your avg. GPA of 3.8 is gonna be higher that what Foster usually has (I think it’s usually around 3.6). Just make sure you don’t drop your GPA even lower and that you have a high pre-application GPA. Also, DO DO DO devote some time to preparing for the WSA – it might decide your fate because it has a pretty high weight in the index score. They say that they don’t even look at details much – a program generates admission letters to fill the top 80% of the spots.

20% are admitted based on their personal statements and other details they might find in your academic history. That’s when the grade might play a role. However, as I said, if you prepare well for the WSA you can forget about your Spanish grade.

Another concern might be general admission (separate from Foster). However, as we have suggested here numerous times, if you get into Foster then you are 90% or so will get into into the UW as well.
